You will integrate the technical development team within a 10 collaborators start-up and actively contribute to the success of the projects. Your role is to take part in the implementation of an innovative production technology in the company, participate in the protection of the invention and be a driving force in future technical developments. Your main missions will be to:
– Design, implement within Hysilabs’ chemistry lab a novel chemical synthesis tool
– Perform the chemical synthesis and characterize the ensuing products
– Understand and explore deeply the reaction features in order to furnish a maximum
comprehension of the chemistry at play
– Adapt the device and tune reaction conditions in order to maximize the reaction performances at
lab scale
– Take part in the scale-up and transition to continuous mode of operation of the unit towards a
pilot demonstrator

Hysilabs has developed a liquid hydrogen carrier HydroSil, stable and safe at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. This breakthrough in the energy sector takes advantage of the remarkable properties of hydrogen without the usual drawbacks inherent to its storage and transportation. This innovative liquid state allows to use similar logistics as conventional fuels. By employing renewable resources for its production, this solution enhances the deployment of considerably more environmentally friendly solutions compared to fossil fuels. Our ambition is to gather motivated and passionate people around this multi-awarded project in order to achieve new development steps together.

- You have a degree in Chemistry (PhD -preferably- or Engineering degree or Master).
- You have a significant background in: heterogeneous catalysis, inorganic chemistry, physical
chemistry, or supercritical chemistry
- Optionally you have Computational Fluid Dynamics skills
- You are persistent when confronted to technical issues
- You have good technical writing skills in English (patent manuscript, technical reports, etc.)
- You feel comfortable starting a topic from scratch from bench test design to assembly to carrying
out tests
- Ideally you have competencies in process engineering
- You have appetence for upstream research topics
- You have appetence for ambitious topics and seek to make an impact
- You are autonomous and proactive
- You are rigorous regarding everyday work safety and confidential material
Gross annual salary: from 35k€ - depending on profil
