Official Opening of the CISAM, a French Tech iconic building

The Cité de l’innovation et des savoirs d’Aix-Marseille (center of innovation and knowledge of Aix-Marseille) was officially inaugurated on the 13th of march by Yvon Berland, president of Aix-Marseille University, Martine Vassal, Aix-Marseille Metropole president, Reinold Geiger, CEO of L’Occitane and Tanya Saadé, general manager of CMA CGM.

The building is the fruit of shared intelligence and ambition. A vision and spirit common to the largest francophone university in the world, the widest county in France and two french global companies : CMA CGM and L’Occitane.

If this house of innovation was officially opened mid march, the site has been living for a couple of months now … On the ground floor, the Accelerator M – the public accelerator of Aix-Marseille Métropole – and some of Aix-Marseille university’s teams have come together with other key actors of the local ecosystem such as P.Factory, Marseille Innovation, Village by CA, Impulse and Belle de mai or Enedis. On the first and second floor, you will find Ze Box, incubator and accelerator of the CMA CGM and Obratori, the accelerator of L’Occitane.

Eager to be as close as possible to the full innovation value chain, Aix-Marseille French Tech moved in this virtuous triangle – local authorities, corporates, university – as soon as september 2018. For this concentration of various competencies, skills and network perfectly reflects what the French Tech IS ALL ABOUT.
